Allow me to introduce myself...
My name is Chris Whild. I've been living in Bendigo since 1975, so I think it's pretty safe to say I'm a local! I know and love the area and I'm very happy to be staying here for a long time to come.
I graduated with distinction from Bendigo College of Advanced Education (BCAE) in 1991 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Computing) degree. I decided to take a break for a while and found myself working with Australia Post - so if you think you've seen me before, you're probably right! I've spent quite some time "on the frontline", so to speak, at most of the larger post offices in Bendigo.
But, as much as this was great experience in customer service, at the end of 1998 I decided that I really missed working with computers and returned to what I love doing.
I've been building, servicing and upgrading computers ever since.
I am somewhat of a perfectionist, by nature. This, of course, means that near enough is never good enough, so whatever work I do has to be done properly or I'm simply not happy with it.
What that means to you is that I take pride in my work and I strive to ensure that the work I do is of the best quality possible. I don't sell rubbish and I don't take shortcuts.
At the same time, I understand that nobody likes to have to pay out hard-earned cash to get their computer fixed. So I don't always charge for the time that I spend on your computer. I realise that I can't charge you extra, just to satisfy my own obsessive perfectionism... but I feel so strongly about doing the job right that, sometimes, extra time is needed to make it perfect - and I don't expect you to pay for that. It's just what I do.
In the end, you are the winner, because you end up with the best quality work - without having to pay premium prices.
